It picks up with Wren, still shaken from a kidnapping, and her guys—Elliot, Rhett, and Oliver—as they take a job guarding some shady character’s fiancée, only to stumble into a bigger mess.

I was reading this on a quiet Sunday, curled up with a blanket, and the tension had my heart racing. Wren’s trying to push past her fears, like her new dread of water, and the guys are torn between protecting her and giving her space—super relatable if you’ve ever cared about someone too much. The plot thickens as they realize their target, Ludo, has some big, creepy plan, and secrets start spilling out left and right. I was on edge, guessing what Ludo’s up to, and the way the group leans on each other felt so real—like family forged in fire.

What hooked me was the heat and heart mixed together. The steamy scenes are bold—think high spice with a touch of kink—and the relationships feel alive, not just thrown in for shock. I loved seeing Rhett open up more; his backstory added layers I didn’t expect. But it’s not all smooth—some plot twists felt a bit rushed, and I wished for more time with the new characters they meet. Still, the suspense and chemistry kept me flipping pages.
